7/26/2010	BGSG RECAP Congratulations to both the Varsity and JV teams!!! JV - won the gold medal with a 2-1 win over Paul Dunbar HS in the final. In the semi-final match the LadyBreds beat LCA 4-0. They finished the weekend with a 3-0-1 record. Varsity tied both Lexington Catholic and Manual HS 2-2 in their matches. As I stated before this was the toughest division in the games this year. All 8 teams are top 20 teams in the state. LC and Manual are probably top 10 teams if not top 5. This weekend you proved that you belong to be right there with them. Even though we did not advance due to tie breaker rules...I was very impressed by your work ethic and team chemistry all weekend. EVERYONE ENJOY MONDAY OFF AND COME READY TO WORK ON TUESDAY.
7/23/2010	BGSG UPDATE PLEASE READ 6:45 PM Just checked both teams in at 5:15PM. There is a heat index alert in Lexington this weekend. Games will most likely have water breaks. Games can be shortened or even canceled due to heat. As soon as I know if a game is canceled/shortend I will put it on the hotline. But plan to go to the games as planned. Most likely this will be a game time decision at the fields by the medical staff. BRING PLENTY OF WATER. WE WILL HAVE A COOLER FOR ICE AT THE VARSITY GAMES WITH TOWELS. KYRA IS WORKING ON THAT FOR THE JV GAMES...BUT IF SOMEONE CAN BRING A COOLER WITH ICE AND RAGS FOR THE JV GAMES WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. ALSO JUST MADE AWARE OF THIS AT CHECK IN - FOR JV GAMES BE AWARE THAT THERE IS CONSTRUCTION DELAYS ON BEREA RD. ENTRY AND EXIT TO THE COMPLEX WILL BE FROM IRON WORKS PIKE - THIS IS THE EXIT YOU GET OFF AT. I AM SURE THERE IS SIGNS POINTING YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.
7/22/2010	BGSG AND PRACTICE UPDATE NEW AT 12:22pm First - thanks for everyone who attended the meeting last night. If you are interested in helping out with any of the items we went over please let me know. Practice - We will try and get a practice in tonight. I appreciate your understanding with us dealing with the weather. So make sure you are checking the hotline (513) 588-0365 from about 4:30 on. We will look at delaying the start if need be. But lets pray for no more rain (at least between 6-830). BGSG IF YOU HAVE A TENT/CANOPY THAT THE JV TEAM CAN USE PLEASE BRING IT TO THE JV GAMES. THE VARSITY TEAM ALREADY HAS 2 SO WE DO NOT NEED ANYMORE. GIVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME TO GET IN AND OUT OF LEXINGTON. WE SHOULD ALL ARRIVE AT THE GAMES ABOUT 45 MINUTES AHEAD OF TIME. 7/21/2010	Practice Update and Parent Meeting Well so far the rain/storms are getting the best of us. However, we need to practice before we play some of the best teams in the state this weekend. So I am giving you a heads up...that if we need to keep you in the shelters or in cars we are going to try and practice within reason. We could have practiced last night starting around 7PM. Parent Meeting will now be held tonight at 8:30PM at Morscher. If for some reason we have to cancel or end practice early then we will move the meeting to NCC at 8:30PM. BGSG will cost everyone $5.00 per athlete. I need signatures on the team forms. I also need to hand out uniforms....we will try to do this tonight as well. I will try to do this during breaks at practice or if we get canceled then I will do at NCC.

7/21/2010	Baby Boy for Lori Just received the word that Lori (Var Asst Coach) had her baby this morning at 3:04AM. Jackson David Stammen 8 lbs 20 1/2 inches Mom and baby are doing great! Now she can come to practice and coach.
7/20/2010	BGSG ROSTERS UPDATE Remember - this does not mean you have made this team for the regular season! We have 3+ weeks to decide what team(s) you will be on. We have to keep 2 separate rosters for this preseason tournament and we can not use athletes for both teams like the regular season.
