Kevin Turnick

Kevin Turnick has been the Head Varsity Soccer coach at NewCath since 1999. The Lady Breds have been ranked among the top 25 teams the state and top five in Northern Kentucky in each of his nine seasons. He has a career record of 174 wins, 55 losses and 11 ties. His teams were:

  • District Champions (2000,2001, 2003, 2005)
  • District Runner-Up (2002, 2006, 2007)
  • Regional Champions (2000, 2001)
  • Regional Runner-Up (2002, 2003, 2005)
  • All A 9th /10th Region Champions in 2005, 2006, and 2007
  • ALL A State Champions in 2005, 2006, and 2007
  • NKAC Division II Champions in 2001, 2002, and 2006
He also has earned the 1999, 2001, 2005 Northern Kentucky Coach of the Year Awards & the 2006 and 2007 Division II Coach of the Year Awards.

Kevin is also the current President of the Northern Kentucky Girls High School Soccer Coaches Association, a member of the All State Team Selection Committee and the Region 9/10 All A Representative. Kevin has coached for St. Thomas Soccer from 1995 to 1997 and the NKY United Rockets (U16 Boys Premier Team) from 2002-2004. Kevin is a 1992 graduate from Clarkson University and is currently the Manager, Financial Analysis for Luxottica Retail. Kevin and his wife Angie live in Cincinnati.

Lori Kevill

Lori is entering her 8th year on the coaching staff. She spent her first 6 years as the head coach of the JV team and is now the assistant varsity coach for her second year. She played NCAA Division II Soccer at NKU, helping the Lady Norse to 4 consecutive GLVC Conference Championships, two appearances in the Final Four, and one appearance in the NCAA Championship Match. In her Senior year she was named to the GLVC All Conference 1st Team and the NCAA Coaches Association All Region 1st Team. She is a 1998 graduate from NCC and a 2003 graduate from NKU. She is currently an Account Manager for the Document Management Division of the Cintas Corporation.

Terry Bray

Jessica Manning

Jessica is entering her second year of coaching at NCC. She is a 2003 graduate of NewCath and played for 5 years under Kevin Turnick as a Lady Bred (98-02). Jessica was chosen as Co-Captain in 2002. She continued her soccer career for 2 years at the collegiate level. 2003 Co-Captain at Southern University & A&M College and 2004 at Cincinnati State. Jessica currently works in the Fiber Optics division at Cincinnati Bell.

Ashley Heister

Ashley is a 2003 graduate of NewCath and former Lady Bred. She continued her soccer career at NCAA Division II, Bellarmine University. She is a first year coach and will be coaching JV for NCC this season. Accomplishments on the field while at NCC: 2000, 2001 District, Regional Champions, 2002 District and Regional Runners-Up, 2000, 2001, 2002 NKAC Division II Champions, 2002 1st team All Conference, 2002 1st team All Region, 2002 2nd team All State, 2001 Team Defensive MVP, 2002 Team MVP, 2002 Co-Captain. Ashley currently works in Physical Therapy at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Kyra Macke

Kyra graduated from Newport Catholic in 2006. She played JV in the 7th and 8th grade and Varsity freshman through senior year. She was selected as a senior captain and finished the season with 19 goals. All four years of Varsity she was selected as MVP Offense and holds the school record for most career goals scored. Throughout her years she was selected for both the Kentucky Enquirer and Kentucky Post All Star Team (’04-’05), 1st Team (‘04-‘05) and 2nd Team All-State (’02), 1st Team (02’, ’04, ’05) and 2nd Team All Region (’03) and made the NKAC All Conference Team (’02, ’04, ’05). She started as forward for Wittenberg University in 2006 and help the Tigers secure an NCAC championship title, giving them their first ever appearance in the NCAA tournament. Currently, Kyra attends the University of Cincinnati.

Tom Rebel

Tom will be taking care of the statistics this year. Tom has coached the Junior Varsity and Goalkeepers at NCC. He has 13 years of coaching experience and holds a D Level soccer coaching license. Tom graduated from LaSalle High School and the University of Cincinnati. He is an Electrical Engineer and Co-Owner of QLOG Coproration. Tom lives in Wilder with his wife Karen and daughter Amanda.
