NewCath Lady Breds Coaching Staff:

Kevin Turnick has been the Head Varsity Soccer coach at NewCath since 1999. The Lady Breds have been ranked among the top 25 teams the state and top five in Northern Kentucky in each of his nine seasons. He has a career record of 174 wins, 55 losses and 11 ties. His teams were:

• District Champions (2000,2001, 2003, 2005)
• District Runner-Up (2002, 2006, 2007)
• Regional Champions (2000, 2001)
• Regional Runner-Up (2002, 2003, 2005)
• All A 9th /10th Region Champions in 2005, 2006, and 2007
• ALL A State Champions in 2005, 2006, and 2007
• NKAC Division II Champions in 2001, 2002, and 2006

Kevin is also the current President of the Northern Kentucky Girls High School Soccer Coaches Association, a member of the All State Team Selection Committee and the Region 9/10 All A Representative. Kevin has coached for St. Thomas Soccer from 1995 to 1997 and the NKY United Rockets (U16 Boys Premier Team) from 2002-2004. Kevin is a 1992 graduate from Clarkson University and is currently the Manager, Financial Analysis for Luxottica Retail. Kevin and his wife Angie live in Cincinnati.

Lori is entering her fourth year as head coach of the JV team. She played NCAA Division II Soccer at NKU, helping the Lady Norse to 4 consecutive GLVC Conference Championships, two appearances in the Final Four, and one appearance in the NCAA Championship Match. In her Senior year she was named to the GLVC All Conference 1st Team and the NCAA Coaches Association All Region 1st Team. She is a 1998 graduate from NCC and a 2003 graduate from NKU. She currently works for the Cintas Corporation.

Johnathan Salyer brings over 10 years of coaching experience that includes Centre College, Henry Clay High School, Lexington Kentucky Kickers and Kentucky ODP. His playing resume includes 3-Time Kentucky ODP All-State, All-Midwest ODP, Gatorade All-South and Centre College. He currently resides in Cincinnati with his wife, Susan and two daughters, Alexandra and Rory, and is the VP of Sales for Capsule Technologie.

Tom will be taking care of the statistics this year. Tom has coached the Junior Varsity and Goalkeepers at NCC. He has 13 years of coaching experience and holds a D Level soccer coaching license. Tom graduated from LaSalle High School and the University of Cincinnati. He is an Electrical Engineer and Co-Owner of QLOG Coproration. Tom lives in Wilder with his wife Karen and daughter Amanda.

Jim returns to the NCC soccer staff after a 3 year retirement. He has over 20 years of coaching experience which includes: St. Thomas (NKSL), Select soccer (NKSC), and 10 years with the Newport Central Catholic varsity program. He resides in Ft. Thomas with his wife Ruth. They have 3 children (all NCC graduates) Amy, Steve, and Lori (current JV coach) and three grandchildren.

Alex is a 2005 graduate of and former player at NCC. Alex played for three years and had an exceptional career. She is currently tied for the lead for Career Assists, ranked 4th in total points and ranks in the top ten in other categories. In her Senior year, Alex was named Senior Captain by her peers and the coaching staff. She was named to the 3rd Team All Region and also received the NCC MVP Award. Alex will be the new Freshmen Head Coach and help out with the JV.
